I may have asked Lance to copy Bob's image. not the first staff member to get used and won't be the last. I have pegged Pekka for the "effectiveness of Love potions in Combat".

Topic: Continuing Where We Last Left Off Q&A Subject: char and characters
I have Char - thank you. Flynn as well.
I'm a single father all this week so my time is limited. When I have a moment to myself, I will go over the characters. I know I did Arien, Max, Adrian and Kilgim and I know I sent out queries about addition Wp and NWp as Bob gave me a response. Perhaps I didn't send all out that I thought I did....
I need to post to Rocinante and get this character issue resolved before I can post to CWWLLO.
a brief note - When you post please include the small details: sword out or sheathed? Moving to the left? Right? Centre? Shadowing Arien? Clinging to the shadows? Specifics are vital in this game.

Serenity Rules here!
Copy and paste the above for the serenity rules.
Historical accuracy? Don't get hung up on it. As I said in my opening thread, I am basing this on hollywood WWII more than history.
Do not equip your characters beyond personal items. You jumped out of a plane in a hurry so equipment will be scarce.
Give me a chance to post more details. I'm a single father all this week so mt time is limited.

Topic: WWII Horror LFP Subject: okay
So we have
Almerin - Captain (?)
Tann - Sarge
Yeolde - Corp
San-Siro - Corp
Dreen - Private
What I need is someone to play the Femme Fatale they meet up with shortly into the mission.
To get a idea of the Cortex rules, look to my "Looking for browncoats" thread in recuitment. That is a Serenity based sci-fi system but it is a start on the stats, the assets and complications and the skills. I will post more details later. Right now, get an idea of what character you want to play, how old, personality, what lead him to be on the mission, who's back home waiting for him, etc etc.

Topic: Continuing Where We Last Left Off Subject: they're dead Jim
“The windows are shuttered from the inside,” Dapple states plainly, “Neither Sunset nor I could see through them. All she can tell me is that are no thoughts or feelings within that she can sense.”
Arien moves up the stairs and opens the doorway. It is dark within but the light of the day and Arien’s sword fills the room. It is a huge room, circular in shape and at least 100 feet in diameter. This room was once used as a greeting area, or a place for healing and mediation. But no more ....
The smell of death hits you all as the doors swing open. Although Arien merely touches the doorway, both doors fly open with tremendous speed. Dapple, attention focus on that single hair sees that it seems to jerk high into the air as the doors part and then vanishes.
There, piled in front of the small set of stairs in to the next room are the bodies of a number of priests. They are very death, and have been for a few days now judging by the smell. They are not only dead but dismembered, as arms, legs and heads are severed beside torso. Blood splatters the walls and floor and you can see from the distance that the hands of the dead all hold tights to kitchen knives, or butcher’s cleavers.
Some of you move to the bodies, feeling a profound grief for the loss of priests who did nothing but help others and yet faced this death. But all of the party hears the sound of laughter in the room - a light soft almost innocent giggle of a young girl.

In my post the sheriff refers to you unsnapping your smg, not bringing them out. In fact he says rack and pin them, which is a reference to re-snapping the holsters. Although you have not brough them out, unsnapping a weapon is a sign that you plan to use them if necessary. Is the sheriff jumping the gun? Probably but he's had a bad day and might see rubbing your nose as brandishing a incendiary device right now.

What are you expecting to find behind the door? What is your imagination creating that makes you all hesitant to open the door?
You know - this is the first time the party has gone in the front entrance. In both other campaigns, you had a "secret" entrance to use.

Reep - A female captain just doesn't fit in the WWII world I'm picturing. It didn't happen either in history or hollywood. The female character I have in mind is a femme fatale Lady in Red type.
So I have a Sarge and two Corp. Anyone for a male Captain's role or the Private? The femme Fatale?
sigh.

Topic: Voyages of the Rocinante - Firefly RPG QnA Subject: Yeah
This is one of the scenes that really drew me to this module. It is a real moral question wrapped up in a power play and smothered in potential innocent victims. It is sorta like having the stand off in the pilot episode of Firefly between Mal and Patience, but in a Central Park.

Topic: Voyages of Rocinante - Serenity/Firefly RPG Subject: dead man lying
Newhouse, Beylix, Outside Jailhouse, 12:30 am, Day Three
“You ruttin’ trigger-happy sumbitch,” Sam’s gaze had already swept back past Sloat’s sprawled form and found the back of Pearson’s head again, “what’d ya have ta go an’ shoot that poor bastard fer?!”
“What the guay? ” Wolf growled.
“Seemed downright uncalled for to me,” Andrew spoke up to add his words to those of Sam’s, “The man wasn’t a danger to anyone especially with his hands full of that there strongbox.” Andrew said, “Hard to try a man when he’s dead… don’t you think!”
Luke stares calmly at the dead body before him as the townfolk gather and the crew speak their minds. “I called out that I was the law – he didn’t stop. Seemed clear to me. Innocent people stop when the law tells them to, only criminals run. But don’t worry gentlemen,” He said at the Frisco gentlemen, “That one was on the house. As to trials, well, I guess I saved the people a peck of taxes.”
"Well, that's some pretty shootin', Deputy," Wyatt drawled, hoping his crew would rein in. "Put two holes in the man clean-like sure enough." Wyatt walked over to Chad and checked for a pulse. Sure enough, Chad was dead.
“This ain’t right Cap’n” Wolf stated as he started getting out of the mule, at the same time releasing the straps holding his two sub guns in place in their holsters.
The two men from the miner’s guild look at each other and back. “I don’t understand why he didn’t stop though. We asked Mister Sloat to wait while we checked the ballots. There was some discrepancy because … well he was the name on every ballot. But he got real nervous like and grabbed the strong box and ran!”
Well what do we have here?” The voice of the sheriff rings out rather breathlessly as the balding man approaches from the other side of the mule with a gun in both hands trained upon Wolf. “Captain, your man here has machine pistols ready in a park where there are woman and children. Please make him rack and pin them or I will drop him where he stands. We have differences but I believe you would prefer to be civilized.”
(I am gonna assume that Wolf will comply to the request)
“Right! Luke. What happened? The sheriff asks with guns still out and ready.
“Man ran out of mining Guild office. One of these gentlemen called stop thief. I identified myself, told him to stop, he didn’t, I did.”
Sheriff nods rapidly, “Fine. Clear cut case to me.”
“Fine!” John Blake cries out, “Chad was one of us! From Frisco.”
“Really!” Sheriff says, “Good then, you can take the body home and I don’t worry about getting Morty to do it.”
“I think we have re-thought our decision with Mr. Pearson.” John calls back angrily.
“Re-think all you want, you have a binding legal contract that I witnessed for you. Now load up your friend, take Luke to your ship and get the hell out of my town now!”
Newhouse, Beylix, Emmett’s Bar, 12:30, Day Three
Benny agrees to accompany Willow out to the ship, “I know a way through the back alleys that will take us most of the way here.”
Darla comes up and impulsively hugs Willow, “You get yourself out of here Girl. If the sheriff finds out you have that kind of cash, you’ll find yourself in a world of hurt. He’s a mean conniving man with a thousands trick and no heart. I hope this piece you are getting is gonna do you good.!”
Benny and Willow left from the back door favoured by the deputy which leads out behind the bar. As Benny leads Willow away, she can here the sheriff’s voice carry “Well what do we have here? Captain, your man here has machine pistols ready in a park where there are woman and children. Please make him rack and pin them or I will drop him where he stands.”
