This is the last day of my friend's vacation in sunny Mexico. He and his family will have to return to the -25 C world of Toronto tomorrow.

Bet they have to drag them kicking and screaming from the room.

“What day is it, anyway?” Dapple asked.

The old man looked at the pretty lady and back at you, the exepression on his face clearly describing how dumb he was thinking you all were, “What day is it? What kinda question is that?” It’s Moonday. The 4th of Mordan if you must know.”

The date surprises you all. That would be the day you left Freegate. In fact, since it was clearly morning here, it would be almost the precise moment that you left Freegate. But if that was true, then how could you be here. How much of what passed the three days was real?

"Good sir," Arien spoke, "allow me to offset the damages we have caused here." With that, the knight reached into his purse and withdrew a generous sum for the damaged crops. The farmer gladly accepts the money, after quickly testing on of the cions with his teeth.

“Much obliged Ummm, Mister Knight. We don’t get folk like you people around here much. Not since Zepher was destroyed. Timing’s good though. Them there priests up the hill haven’t come down for a spell. They usually trade with us – you know, goods for healing and the like. But they haven’t come down for a long while and the town was about to have a council to talk about doing something. That’s what councils do, don’t ya know – talk about doing thing instead of just going up the hill and knocked on the door, asking “hey! You priests need to eat or anything? Cause my back is hurting a peck of trouble and I got good corn here.” He laughed to himself pleasantly.

(add any questions or comments here. I will answer afterwards)

“Anyway if you want to talk to the council, you can head directly into town. Can’t miss the place – it’s the one with the really big chimney.” He says pointing towards town. The big chimney he refers to is visible form where you stand – it is the same chimney the two brothers were standing upon when you encountered them in your dream.

“I don’t know. I woke up… in pain. Or maybe the pain came later… I can’t really remember. I can’t remember a lot of things.” He staggered closer, feet dragging through the washing blood on the grey streets. “I know my name though. I’m Herman.”

Herman? He thought. It was the last name he expected to hear although he couldn’t have told you what he expected in the first place.

“I’m Cathedral.” He replied, “And it was the same for me. Pain and then this – like I was …” he trailed off looking around him. It all seemed so unreal. “If there are the two fo us, could there be more? What is this place?”

Cathedral looked own at the serpents tattooed on his arms. The strange light of this land played tricks on his eyes, as the serpents seemed to writhe as if in ecstasy. Don’t let the serpents touch

Subject: Dammit, I'm a doctor not an stenographer

Doctor Pierce saw the Ensign get to his feet and wave him off. That was enough for him, if the patient was conscious enough to make decisions in a combat situation, then that meant leaving him by triage rules. The doctor continues to move to the Vulcan, hoping for the best but expecting the worst. As he approached, his fears were realized.

Kavk’s environment suit was torn in places and Pierce could see the green blood already seeping through the wounds. He ran as quick of a scan as he could concerning the situation, and it was all that he needed. Internally injuries in multiple places, the spinal cord severally damaged in a number of places, brain functions were shutting down. Kavk wasn’t going to make it and nothing Pierce could do here would save him. He looked the Lieutenant in the eyes, and with a single shake of the head told the Vulcan all he needed to know. Kavk was struggled to speak so the Doctor leaned over to listen to the dying man’s words.

"There has to be a Dominion facility nearby. The--the shuttle sensors were detecting large energy signatures five point two--five point two kilometers north east of our position. This--this is the...only way...to contact...Guardian."

With that his eyes lost focus and his head dropped to the side, green blood frothing from his mouth.

“Damn it!” Pierce exclaimed loudly. He activated his communicator, =^= “Guardian. This is Doctor Pierce! Request Emergency Evac - Stat!”=^=

Watchmen

As to the ending, I am not surprised. It was the weakest part of the story so I can see them changing it. Not to mention you have to dumb it down for the North American audience. Can you imagine if they kept the same ending for V for Vendetta? It would have never made it pass the test audiences.

“Brace yourselves,” The Lieutenant said, “We have been detected.”

The shuttle shook violently and Doctor Pierce clung to the sides for dear life. “What the hell?” he spoke out loud from the sheer shock of the situation.

Shields at fifty two percent. Starboard nacelle is leaking plasma.

Although he had been through many “combat scenarios” in training, nothing in simulation ever came close to the real life trauma and panic. He knew all to well that if things went wrong, the computer wasn’t going to restart the program. He held on tight to his seat.

“It is a Jem’Hadar fighter, and it is preparing to fire once again.”

Shields at thirty four percent.

Sparks flew over the doctor as a panel blew open and the circuitry beneath overloaded. Evasive maneuvers anyone? thought Pierce as he shielded his eyes automatically, Divert all auxiliary power to the shield!

“This is Starfleet shuttlecraft PT-2001,” Lt. Kavk had activated the communications relay. “We are being attacked by a Jem’Hadar fighter, and are requesting immediate evacuation.”

Right! Call for help. Bet they are jamming our communications.

“The communications system is damaged. We have to find cover.” The Lieutenant suggested as if this was a mail run.

Ensign Ral was a good pilot for he was able to out maneuver the fighter and land the craft.

“Quickly,” Lt. Kavk ordered, unstrapping himself and rising to his feet. “There were some canyons nearby within those columns of rock. Make for those and wait for us there. Ensign Ral, I suggest you dress as quickly as possible. We don’t want to be in this shuttle when that fighter returns.”

Dr. Pierce didn’t need to be told twice. He grabbed his medical kit and ran for the cover with an eye behind to make sure no one fell or was injured in the flight. Ensigns Shral, Goodhart, and Malton made the first of the pillars when the Jem’Hadar fighter fired on the shuttle. The concussive blast from the cannon fire and the subsequent explosion of their shuttle sent Ensign Ral and Lt. Kavk stumbling forward. They were lifted a couple of feet into the air and flung forward to the ground rolling. Ral was approximately thirty meters below the column of rocks, still on the slope while Kavk was further away and not moving anymore.

Without a thought to his personal safety, Pierce was on the run towards the injured men. “Ral! Kavk!” he yelled out, hoping that both would respond to his voice.

OOC: Don’t want to assume too much here. Pierce will go to Ral first, make sure he is stable and then move to Kavk. Of course if he is being fired upon, that might change his plan of action.

“Not now!” came the hiss from the form of another human, which was pressing his weight against the only door in the room, keeping it shut. To Cathedral’s eyes, it was more than an it than a he or a she. The buildings around seemed to be decaying rapidly around him, yet not vanishing completely – a never-ending pattern of corruption.

“You there! What do you want from me?” The other pointed a finger at him. It was almost an accusing gesture - You said you could help her

A memory of anger washed over him, so strong that it pushed Cathedral back a step. He pushed it back with his mind. “I was… I was gonna ask you the same thing.” He shouted back, hands held at the side to be open and non-aggressive. “Where the hell are we? Do you know how we got here?”

He might be trying to push everyone away from him in a vain attempt to make his passing hurt them less. If he makes everyone hate him, then they don't have to mourn him. Or he doesn't want to accept his fate so he is angrily pushing people away to make denial easier.

Either way, it doesn't really help anyone. My thoughts are with you.

Subject: For Willow

Willow time with the shepherd passes quickly as they enjoy a modest breakfast of dumplings and small dishes. When they are done, Willow is excused shown out of the temple’s back way where Lau Tsu is waiting for here.

“Good to see you again.” He says quietly but with the mischievous note in his voice. “I trust your meeting went well?”

(Assuming some answer)

“I am to escort you to the town hall above the Bank” Lau says and when he does, two other Tong guards dressed in black also appear around you. Lau looks at them and Willows sees surprise for a moment, but a moment only, “and Grandfather seems to believe that we need chaperones.” He continues evenly. He gestures toward the pathway through the gardens towards the bank. Only yesterday, Willow had passed through this area but with the concern for Sam on her mind, she didn’t have the chance to appreciate the well maintained gardens. “I was made to believe that I was the leader of this family in all matters,” Lau says loud enough for your escorts to hear clearly, “But I see that is a fellting notion. Like all good leaders, I find that I must pick my battles and bow to the wisdom of the elders”

(if you have questions or comments, please feel free)

The walk is a short one, and Lau brings you to the stairs outside the bank that lead up to the hall. “I do hope that I will have the chance to see you again?” He asks.

(answer?)

“He bows deeply and steps back so Willow can climb the stairs. He doesn’t leave though, making sure that Willow gets to the doorway safely. Once there, the doctor can here the sounds of some sort of disturbance inside.

“Well! If I had criminal ties, I’d be afraid of a sheriff too.’ Someone said,. It sounded like Jimmy Blake.

Juh shi suh mo go dohng shee? I no Tong. JW invite me here. Ask my opinion. You Shia suo. I want sheriff in town. Keep peace good for business.” Willow didn’t know this voice.

“Hold now people,” that was JW

“ Shia Sho! Jimmy sounded angry, “Nee you wuo kai cheng!

Furniture scrapped and there was the sound on people moving.

“That’s enough!” shouted a voice Willow knew all too well. “You’re actin’ like a bunch o’ gorram schoolboys.”
